RADNOR A BETTER CHANCE NEEDS YOUR HELP! 
Who are we?  A Better Chance is an educational not-for-profit organization that identifies, recruits, places and supports Scholars of color at more than 300 of the most rigorous and prestigious independent day schools, boarding schools and public schools in the country.   Radnor ABC is one of the 22 community school programs in the country whose students attend the local public high school.  Our students attend RHS for 4 years and live at the Radnor ABC House, which is located at 120 W. Wayne Avenue, next to the Radnor Memorial Library and attend Radnor High School for grades 9-12.   We receive no government funding and are dependent on donations to survive.   We have only one paid employee, a cook, who prepares meals for our students 4 days a week.  We are lucky that generous community members make and deliver Sunday dinners during the school year.   This is our 40th year and we are built on a simple idea:   better educational opportunities lead to better lives.   With the support of the Radnor Township School District, our program has touch the lives of hundreds of scholars who went onto college and successful careers. 
In these tough economic times, our program is struggling financially.   We desperately need the support of the Radnor community to survive.   There are many opportunities for involvement in our all volunteer organization.   Please see our website, radnorabc.org, for more information.Right now, we are reaching out to the community for on-going donations of non-perishable goods for the house.   Please see the list below.   We also are in need of a large window unit air conditioner for the room of one of our resident tutor/mentors.
