Local Family to be honored at Simon’s Fund Soiree

  • February 5, 2013

Drew Harrington, a Radnor student, attended a heart screening sponsored by Simon’s Fund a locally
based non-profit in the fall of 2011. 283 student athletes were screened in the Radnor High school gym by the Doctors of CHOP and Drew’s family discovered he
had an issue with his heart. One month later, he underwent a procedure to correct his heart condition. Today, the Harrington family has become a tireless
advocate for Simon’s Fund by lobbying for the passing of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest law in Pennsylvania, organizing local heart screenings and raising awareness about sudden cardiac arrest in students.
