Radnor Youth Football - Flag, Tackle & Cheer Comes to Radnor
RADNOR YOUNG RAIDERS
For Immediate Announcement
ATTENTION PARENTS & PLAYERS - LET'S PLAY FOOTBALL
We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Radnor Raiders Youth Football program. The Radnor Young Raiders are the newest Pop Warner football program in the Bux-Mont League. We will be open to Radnor residents as well as other players and parents in neighboring communities if there is not already a Bux-Mont program in your community.
We invite parents and players to attend the Young Raiders open house for more information and registration. Our open house informational session will be held on May May 20 at the Radnor High School’s Black Box Theater from 6 - 8 pm. The address for Radnor High School is 130 King of Prussia Rd., Radnor, PA 19087.
The Radnor Young Raiders are fielding 105 lb and 120 lb tackle football teams for children ages 8 to 12 and a flag football program. Ages for participation are based on the player's age as of August 1, 2012. Older lighter players will be welcome as well. In addition we will be taking applications for a cheer program.
The Young Raiders will start practicing August 1 at the Radnor High School fields. We will play a 10 game regular season tackle football schedule for each team starting in late August and running through early October with playoff eligibility thereafter. The Young Raiders will play their home games in the Radnor High School football stadium and at Harriton High School.
This is a great opportunity for your children to get involved in youth football at a young age. Learn how to play football safely and enjoy being a part of a winning team and tradition. It is also a great opportunity for parents to volunteer to help as assistant coaches, team parents and Cheer coaches.
We hope to see you at our Open Houses but if you cannot attend or just need more information about weights, ages and how to register we encourage you to email us at RadnorYoungRaiders@gmail.com. We will have our web site up soon and hope you will check in with us and follow us on Radnor Patch and Facebook as we join together to start the Raiders tradition of youth football.
