Wayne Senior Center Celebrates Active Aging Week

Come join the Wayne Senior Center and Radnor Township in celebrating Active Aging Week.  On Thursday, September 27, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the Wayne Senior Center is throwing open its doors and inviting the community to come and experience what the Center has to offer.  You’ll find a wide variety of activities:   Smart Phone, IPad and Kindle Fire demos; eye, hearing, and stroke assessments; line dancing, a Tai Chi class, balance assessments and more.  Come meet our Writer’s Group and see what they’re up to.  Come and learn more about travelling the states and the world.  Check out our “Practical” Spanish class.

Be inspired by some incredible senior athletes!  Age of Champions is the award-winning documentary following five competitors who sprint, leap, and swim for gold at the National Senior Olympics!

In addition, AAA will be there to offer their Car Fit Program.  This program consists of a 12-point checklist to help older drivers determine how well their vehicles “fit” them.  It only takes 15 minutes and could save your life.

It’s bound to be a great time and you will probably meet some friends along the way!  There will be a free cookout at noon—hot dogs and hamburgers right off the grill.  And for your listening and dancing pleasure we will have entertainment you won’t want to miss!

Rain date for the Open House is Monday, October 1.

The Wayne Senior Center is located at 108 Station Road right across the street from the Wayne Train Station.  Please call the Center (610-688-6246) for more information about events and times and to register for the Car Fit Program and for a hearing assessment.  Be sure to come on over and celebrate with us!  All ages welcome!!!!
