Radnor Police Department has released a photo of a "person of interest" in the April 5 robbery of Farnan Jewelers in Wayne.
A nearby surveillance system which shows a man walking with the suspected robber just prior to the burglary on North Wayne Avenue (see photo). The suspect who entered the jewelry store can be seen walking behind him.
After the burglary, both men were seen running down North Wayne Avenue towards West Lancaster Avenue.
The Radnor Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man:
"An unknown race male with a dark, well-trimmed beard and moustache. The subject is wearing a light colored jacket and a baseball hat with an unknown type logo emblazoned on the front."
Anyone who has information as to the identity of this man is asked to call the Radnor Police Department at 610-688-0503x117.

Any idea why the police waited three weeks to release the photo for public scrutiny?

Well, we can't assume that they waited. They might not have had the surveillance footage all that time.

Looks like this camera was mounted either on the side of the alley just past Matador or on the wall of the baby furniture store. The man in the foreground is wearing a Phillies hat, no? And, the suspect in the background sure seems to be wearing Muslim clothing (and carrying a big shopping bag at 3:15 in the morning). There've been a rash of hold ups in the city by crooks dressing in dishadasha as a disguise. This is a Philly job.

Looks like the man is talking on a cell phone. I believe calls can be traced with the cooperation of the telephone company. Records can be obtained for the usage from the nearby cell tower and pinpoint the phone number.

260 PATCH - Good point!
However, many criminals use disposable $20 'throw-away' type cell phones; ditching them after use. These cheap phones are purchased over-the-counter at places like Wal-Mart,.... Be that as it may, considering the relative intelligence level of some of these 'Master-Minds',... it is quite possible that the person in the photo - if actually connected to the criminals - may be dumb enough to be using an account/credit related type cell phone.
