Police: Armed Robbery at Wayne Wawa
Radnor police are asking for help locating the alleged suspect, an approximately 30-year-old male.
Radnor police have issued a crime alert after an armed robbery of the at 213 W. Lancaster Ave. in Wayne took place Wednesday morning, Radnor Police Sergeant Andy Block told reporters at a press conference.
According to police, at 3:56 a.m., a male wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and white shoes entered the store and banged on the desk to get the clerk's attention. He wielded an edged weapon believed to be a box cutter and, in what was reported to be a calm tone, demanded all the cash in the store. The female clerk complied, and, cash in hand, the man left the store on foot before boarding a silver SUV that was parked on Banbury Way and driving northbound. Based on his route of travel, police think there is a good chance he lives locally.
He is presently at-large.

Block said that while there is at present no information about the man's identity or motive, "drug addict is always a possibility."
Block also offered a warning to shop clerks and residents.
"If you see an individual dressed like this in the summer," Block said, signalling to the heavy sweatshirt the robber wore, "It may be a clue or a flag to call the police."
