Top Holiday Events

What to if you want to celebrate the holidays in Radnor.

1. A Very Recycled Holiday at the Radnor Library December 10 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Drop in and learn to make bags, bows and gifts from found materials. For grades 6 and up plus adults. The free event is funded by the "All the seasons of green" LSTA grant from Commonwealth Libraries.

2. Radnor Elementary School will be hosting a Holiday Toy Drive in the parking lot at the on Saturday December 10, 2011 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

3. Sugar Plum Fairy Tea on December 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. at . Bring your favorite "stuffed friend" for three holiday activities:

  • An authentic sit-down tea service led by Chef Chiwishi Beautiful 
  • Holiday card-making workshop with Mary Elizabeth Nelson Storytime
  • Snowman art activity with Nancy Peters
  • Performance by students of Love to Dance Studios of Wayne

Thr cost of the event is$50 for one child and one adult, and $20 for each additional child. It is open to children ages 4 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Advance registration is required.

4. Holiday at the Willows on December 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. The free holiday event includes:

  • Meet Santa Claus -- Bring your camera
  • Holiday Crafts, Face Painting, & More with the Radnor Township Girl Scouts

The event sponsors are TD Bank, Ithan Valley Market, and Herrs.

Radnor Elementary School PTO Winter Wonder ProjectCollecting gifts for under privileged children and their families. Gifts will be collected from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Holiday at the Willows Celebration. Contact Emily Remphrey (the5remphreys@verizon.net) for more information.

5. Gingerbread House Decorating with Jeffrey Miller Catering at the Wayne Art Center on December 17 from 10 a.m. to noon. You will receive your own simple cottage, freshly baked, already assembled and waiting to be transformed into a holiday treasure. The cost is $25 for one adult and one child, $25 per additional child.
