Today, Wednesday November 23rd, the official election results for Radnor are being published by the Delaware County Bureau of Elections. When all is said and done, I lost by a little more than a handful of votes. Every vote truly counted in this election. My Ward experienced the greatest turnout of any Ward in Radnor and the closest margin. I find it inspiring that so many Ward 3 residents exercised their very important right to vote. I have to applaud my opponent Bill Spingler for also running a great campaign and getting so many people out to choose leadership. Running for Radnor Township …
According to the unofficial Municipal Election Results for Radnor Township's Third Ward commissioner race, Republican challenger Emily Hobson was victorious over long-time commissioner Bill Spingler 580 to 573 votes. (Watch a video of Spingler talking about why the results were so amazing in the video section of this article.) According to the Delaware County Bureau of Elections, the results of this and all races are…
Radnor Patch asked those involved in the local elections for their closing thoughts. Here are some previous thoughts from candidates and a letter from a successful candidate. I would like to thank all of the voters that came to the polls last Tuesday regardless of who they chose to vote for. Democracy is such a valuable commodity and citizen participation is the keystone. I am humbled by the voters choosing me to represent them for four more years. I commit to my Ward to provide the same high level of service and involvement that have characterized my last two years. We have made significant…
Now that the election “high” is starting to wear off and we have collected the majority of campaign signs from around the township, I am glad to have a minute to share my thanks and gratitude to those who contributed to my success in the school board campaign. First and foremost, my running mates, Eric Budin, Kimm Doherty, Sheila Palmer and Eric Zajac. What an amazingly talented, smart and dedicated group; Radnor would have been lucky to have any of us serve on the board. It was fun and, many times, very funny! Thanks to Candyce Wilson and her husband Mel. Candyce, our great campaign chair…
Radnor Patch asked those involved in the local elections for their closing thoughts. These are the first three who responded. As more people respond we will print their words. I think it was a good race and I wish the members of the reconstituted school board good luck and hope they accomplish their goals. For my part, I am planning to get involved with the Radnor Middle School PTO and prepare for another run in two years. I think we ran a principled campaign and the issues will still need to be addressed regardless of who is in office. Thank you for your efforts on behalf of the people of…
