Radnor Fire Company chief Jim Kelly reports that the fire company had about 30 people running fire and EMS calls during the storm. Radnor Fire Company personnal put in more than 600 hours standing by during and after the storm, he said. Mostly the calls were for trees and wires down. A few calls were to check on houses that had water in the basements, Kelly said. Several people were removed from their houses and taken to the evacuation center at Radnor High School. SEPTA has announced it will suspend service on the Paoli-Thorndale Regional Rail Line from Saturday at 5 p.m. through the duration of Hurricane Irene.
