Free Concert, Songs for Children in Radnor Wednesday

Read some of the things happening in and around Radnor on Wednesday.


1. Radnor's Shade Tree Commission will meet Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

2. Songs & Stories for children at the Wayne Train Station Wednesday at 10 a.m.

3. There will be an Ithan Elementary School New Student Pizza Party for children in grades 1 to 5 at the school on Wednesday.

4. Watch "Have Camera, Will Travel" at 5:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 5:30 p.m. on Channel 21. Part 2 of the 2012 Brian Riley Pipes & Drums Exhibition from North Wildwood, NJ, featuring "Irish Thunder Pipes and Drums" (from Norristown, PA), and the Edward P. Maloney Memorial Pipe Band (from Binghamton, New York).

5. Valley Forge Summer Carillon Concert at 7:30 p.m. at Washington Memorial Chapel, Route 23, Valley Forge National Historical Park in Valley Forge. The concert by Doug Gefvert is free and open to the public. It is an hour-long outdoor concert, so bring a blanket, lawn chair, snacks or dinner. The Chapel Cabin Shop will be open for refreshments and souvenirs. It is rain or shine.
