Cheer, Cheer!

Cheer, Cheer!

The Harcum College Cheerleaders made their grand appearance at Homecoming during halftime at of the Women’s  v. Alumnae  basketball game. Their performance was awesome. They shook pom-poms and tumbled, electrifying the crowd.   The entire squad was very in sync for the entire performance.  The dance routine was choreographed by Coach Chaka and Coach Jazz.

All practices are called by Coach Chaka. Many of the girls on the team had previous experience with cheering before trying out. At this point there has not been a captain elected yet. According to Harcum College, the cheerleading program is dedicated to building unity, not only within the squad, but also within the entire Harcum Community. Harcum Cheerleading is focused on building the character and self-confidence of its members. Through participation, it is expected that members will learn life lessons that will help them grow as a team, as individuals, and as student athletes.

Their next game will be the 12th of November when they will be cheerleading for the men’s basketball team at home against Community College of Philadelphia.
