Free: Learn to Negotiate the Special Needs System

Radnir Library is offering a series of free talks about parenting in its Parenting Toolkit program.

The first was help on Monday, Jan. 28. Dr. Lene Larsen (pictured), a child and adolescent psychologist based out of Haverford, presented specific tools and principles for raising preschoolers, especially in the areas of behavior and discipline.

On Monday, Feb. 4 at 6:30 p.m., Sherry Frost, an educational consultant and speech/language therapist, will share advocacy techniques with parents who are learning to negotiate the Special Education system. A 45-minute presentation will be followed by Q&A and light refreshments. Registration begins on January 21.

On Monday, March 18 a kindergarten readiness workshop will be run by the Radnor Township School District Student Services Department.

On April 22 the program will feature Nancy Cummings, a behavior specialist.
