Here are some adult-friendly options to celebrate the New Year in the area.

New Year's Eve Bowling

  • When: Monday, Dec. 31 from 10 p.m. - 1 a.m.
  • Where: Devon Bowling Lanes, 300 West Lancaster Ave., Devon

New Year's Eve Community Celebration and Ball Drop

  • Why Go: Snow or shine, downtown Media presents live outdoor music and a ball drop at midnight.

Valley Green Inn New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve Community Yoga Practice

  • When: Monday, Dec. 31 from 8 - 11 p.m.
  • Where: 250 W Lancaster Ave, Wayne, PA
  • Why Go: Join Verge Yoga for this intimate New Year's Eve yoga practice and gathering to peacefully transition from 2012 into 2013. Our all-levels practice will be followed by a guided meditation, light fare and enlightening chatter.  We will conclude around 11:00 pm. Please feel free to come and go as you please.

New Year's Eve with the High Rollers

  • When: Monday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m.
  • Where: Roller's at Flying Fish, 8142 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA
  • Why Go: Spend New Year's Eve in historic Chestnut Hill.  The ticket price of $70 includes: 3 course dinner, dessert, coffee service, and a champagne toast at midnight.  The music will be continuous from 8:00pm until well after the ball drops. Music provided by Reverend Chris & the High Rollers.

Stanley's Dream 5K Run/Walk

  • When: Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Noon
  • Where: Corners of Church & Market Streets, West Chester
  • Why Go: Start the New Year by running for a great cause. Stanley's DREAM provides college scholarships to graduating seniors and supports childhood brain cancer research by awarding research grants to hospitals.

Manayunk's New Year's Eve Passport Party 2013

  • When: Monday, Dec. 31 at 9 p.m,
  • Where: The Bayou Bar & Grill, 4245 Main St, Philadelphia, PA
  • Why Go: Your ticket gives you access to five bars at two popular establishments in Manayunk, a champagne toast at midnight, top shelf open bar, different buffets at each establishment, two dj's and two dance floors to dance 2012 away.

New Year's Eve Gala

New Year's Day Yoga Sadhana

New Year's Eve at the Springfield Country Club
