Radnor High Schoolers Forgo Birthday Gifts for Donations to Local Boy

$2,000 was raised for the Logan Schweiter Fund.

On a Saturday night in October four friends who share the same birthday celebrated with a big "sweet 16" party at a Newtown Square home. The party was all Radnor high school sophomores. There were 100 kids there and a Radnor Township back yard was transformed into a festive celebration.

But instead of birthday gifts, the kids wanted to collect donations for the Logan Schweiter Fund. . Many of the kids at the party are friends with Logan's older brother, Parke.

“The generosity of the kids who attended the birthday party was inspiring, and it’s truly heartwarming to know our community continues to be so supportive of each other," said the mother who hosted the party. The families of the birthday children requested to remain anonymous.
