Radnor Students Participate in Annual Day of Service

All schools will be closed in observance of MLK Day.

Radnor Township School District students, staff members, and parents will join together to celebrate the life and contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during a day of service on Monday, Jan. 20 at Radnor Elementary School and Radnor Middle School.

All schools will be closed in observance of the holiday but student and parent volunteers will offer their free time to participate in a variety of charitable projects.

At Radnor Middle School, service projects this year will include decorating and making activity boxes full of small toys and crafts for sick children at CHOP, baking cookies for children at a homeless shelter, and decorating dining placemats for residents at the Wayne Nursing Home.

Projects at Radnor Elementary School will include sorting book donations for Philly Reads, creating animal thank you notecards for Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals, sorting bags of toiletries and art/school supplies for homeless children at Trevor’s campaign, and many more.
