Volunteers Continue Christmas Bird Count Tradition

The Christmas Bird Counts have been taking place for 113 years.

Volunteers throughout the country take part in annual Christmas Bird Counts to better understand what is happening to the bird population.  The counts have been taking place for 113 years.  Check out this video by Audubon about the history of the bird counts.

Radnor has "Bird Town" status with Audubon.  Volunteers in Radnor are working to create bird gardens in the township.  One group of volunteers is working on getting Martha Brown's Woods, the property that runs along Route 30 at Radnor High School, designated as a Bird Sanctuary.
