Watch: Radnor Grad Triumphs After 'Freak' Accident

Writer Michael Vitez has chronicled an amazing comeback story.

By many accounts, St. David's resident and Radnor High School graduate Matt Miller should not be here. He should not be engaged to his high school sweetheart and in residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

But he is. And the story of how he triumphed after a near-death cycling accident in November, 2008 is the subject of The Road Back: A Journey of Grace and Grit, published earlier this year,

The book was written by Pulitzer Prize-winning "Philadelphia Inquirer" reporter Michael Vitez, who chronicles Miller's accident and his amazing comeback. Vitez was recently a guest on Patch TV. Watch him tell Miller's compelling story in the video section of this article.

You can hear Miller and Vitez together on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. in the Radnor High School auditorium. The event is presented by the Radnor Alumni Council and is open to the public. Tickets are available here for $10 per adult. Radnor students with ID can purchase tickets for $5 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Radnor Alumni Council.
