Chanticleer Lecture Features Washington Post Editor

Adrian Higgins will discuss his year of conversations and rambles with Chanticleer's team of gardeners and artisans.

Washington Post garden editor Adrian Higgins will present this year’s Chanticleer Lecture at the Radnor Memorial Library on tomorrow, May 15, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Winsor Room.

Higgins is author of the new 176-page book, Chanticleer, A Pleasure Garden. It is the first major book specifically about the garden and has just been released by the University of Pennsylvania Press. It features photography by local artist . 

Higgins will discuss his year of conversations and rambles with Chanticleer's team of gardeners and artisans.  He will interpret the garden's development and reinvention as it changes from season to season.

Admission to the lecture is free and books will be available for sale and signing. This year’s presentation is the 12th annual Chanticleer Lecture

Chanticleer is a 35-acre garden, open Wednesdays through Sundays, 10am to 5pm.  The last day of the 2011 season is Sunday, October 30.  The garden remains open until 8pm Friday evenings, May through Labor Day.  Radnor Memorial Library cardholders receive 50% off the regular garden admission of $10.
