Chinese Culture Association of Greater Philadelphia to Present Chinese New Year Celebration

Chinese Culture Association of Greater Philadelphia to Present Chinese New Year Celebration Open to All RTSD Families, Jan. 21

All Radnor Township School District families are invited to attend a Chinese New Year Celebration presented by the Chinese Culture Association of Greater Philadelphia (CCAGP) on Saturday, Jan. 21 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Radnor Middle School. The annual event is especially significant as it will mark the 50th anniversary of the Main Line Chinese Schools, MingDe and DingHao.

The event will begin with a Chinese Drum/Lion Dance performance from 1:30-2:10 p.m. in the RMS auditorium. This performance is free to all RTSD families. Following the performance, crafts, activities and snacks will be available in the RMS cafeteria and auxiliary gym. Admission to the events after the performance is limited to the first 150 families with a ticket. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis upon entrance to the performance in the auditorium.  "The goal of the event is to show gratitude to the school district community while celebrating Chinese tradition," said Harrison Chao, CCAGP President. "We'll have a range of crafts, music, food and art for people who are curious about Chinese culture and language."
