Katelyn Bouska was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where she began studying the piano at age 6. At age 11, she entered the Preparatory School of Music at Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI. She earned a B.M. in Piano Performance at Viterbo University where she studied piano with Dr. Timothy Schorr and harpsichord with Dr. Mary Ellen Haupert.
Katelyn traveled to Vienna, Austria, in 2007 to study music through the International European Studies program (IES). In addition to various studies in music history and the German language, she studied privately with Gerald Stofsky and was coached by various members of the Vienna Philharmonic. She also gave several solo and chamber recitals while she was in Austria.
In 2010, she traveled to Toronto, OT to participate in the Tafelmusik Summer Institute, specifically studying with Charlotte Nediger.  There, she performed the Bach D major concerto BWV 1054, as well as performing in chamber music and orchestral recitals.
2011 saw a return to Europe when she received a scholarship for a period of intensive study and performance in Villecroze, France with Ilton Wujinksi.  She frequently performs with Filipino violinist Jambol Leuenberger.  Highlights of their 2011 season included frequent performances on the Wednesday Club series in Harrisburg, a three week concert tour of the Philippines in July and a two week concert tour in Wisconsin and Minnesota in September.
Katelyn is currently living in Philadelphia, where she recently completed Masters in Piano Pedagogy and Harpsichord Performance at Temple University in May of 2011.  She studies with Dr. Charles Abramovic and Dr. Joyce Lindorff.  She will return to Temple University in the Fall of 2012 as a Presidential Fellow doctoral candidate pursuing her doctoral degree in piano performance.  Katelyn is an active collaborative performer, teacher, and recording musician for young composers.
