Free Piano Concert at Cabrini College

Pianist and Steinway Artist William Carr will perform selections by Beethoven, Chopin, Gershwin and Schumann in a free concert at Cabrini College, 7 p.m. Sunday, April 22 in the Mansion on the Cabrini campus (610 King of Prussia Road, Radnor).

Carr has performed in many European cities and throughout the United States, including at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. In November 2012, he will perform the Franz Liszt Piano Concerto with the Main Line Symphony; a month later, he will perform the Leroy Anderson Piano Concerto with the Immaculata Symphony. He also will appear as a piano soloist at the Perelman Theater of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in fall 2012.

In 2006, Carr was named a Steinway Artist by the Steinway and Sons Piano Company.

Carr, who teaches music at Immaculata University, earned a degree in piano performance from Temple University, a graduate scholarship at the Julliard School, a doctor of musical arts from The Catholic University of America and postdoctoral performance certification from the Munich Conservatory in Chamber Music and from the Liszt Weimar Conservatory.
