Main Line's Oldest Community Theater Launches Season 85 this Week

Season offers something for nearly every taste.

The Main Line's oldest community theater is going strong and preparing to launch its 85th season this weekend in Berwyn.

Footlighters Theater on Main Avenue has been an institution for nine decades and they're about to launch another full season of drama and musicals in the converted church building that has offers audiences an up close and personal experience.

The first show of the landmark season, which also includes two musical productions (Jekyll&Hyde and Barnum) is Rabbit Hole. It opens Friday night.
An Events Posting by Footlighters on TE Patch describes the show this way:

FOOTLIGHTERS THEATER opens its 85th Anniversary Season with a Pulitzer Prize winning drama which explores a family suffering an unbearable loss in a deafening silence:  RABBIT HOLE.

The play, through both drama and comedy, explores the ebbs and flows of how family members survive a heart-wrenching loss.

RABBIT HOLE has earned a cult-like following of admirers for its hopeful, honest and unexpectedly witty portrait of two people learning to re-engage with each other and a world that has been tilted off its axis, as they look for possibilities in the most impossible of all situations.

Join us for a memorable evening with the Corbett family as they search for a future with hope, ultimately learning that the only way out of the rabbit hole....is to go through it.
