In this intensive 2-day workshop, working from the live model, participants will advanced their knowledge and skill through classic oil painting techniques for portraiture. The workshop runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Instructional emphasis will be on principles rather than on a set formula or a “how-to” approach that often hinders artistic development and expression. This workshop is recommended for the intermediate to advanced artist.
Artists will be provided with the following: Prepared linen panel [approx 12" x 15"], prepared cotton [approx. 8" x 10"], medium, solvent, and oil colors. Participants will need to bring a palette, palette knife, brushes, and 2 containers for medium & solvent.
