Mmm, Mmm Good: Wolverines Win at Campbell's

The Wayne Wolverines Junior Legion team (15U) posted a 7-2 victory over Methacton J.P. Mascaro in a non-league game played Wednesday at Campbell's Field -- home of the Camden Riversharks.

Camden, NJ -- The Wayne Wolverines defeated Methacton J.P. Mascaro 7-2 on Wednesday in a game played at Campbell's Field, home of the Camden Riversharks.

Nick Wojtelwicz led off the second inning with a single as the Wolverines scored twice to take a 2-0 lead.  Evan Zhang's single in the fourth led to a big five run inning that was culminated by a bases loaded 2 RBI single to left center off the bat of Will Girton.

On the mound, Will Hoysgaard earned the win by twirling two shutout innings in the non-league contest.  Andrew Austen closed out the game in fashion by striking out the side in the ninth.

The opportunity to play on the professional field was sponsored by local Wayne mobile marketing agency -- ATS Mobile.

The Wayne Wolverines Junior Legion team has a 9-5-1 record in the Main Line League and is currently in third place in the ten team conference.  The Wolverines close out its season with a home game on Friday night versus Roxborough Bandits then play Saturday at the Mt. Airy Stars and Sunday at the Haverford Heat.  Playoffs begin Wednesday, July 10 as the Wolverines hope to earn its third league championship in the past four seasons.
