Get Out: Zumba-Thon, Singles Party, Mud Run, Blues Stroll

Where/When:  from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday. Check-in begins at 4:30 p.m. Kid's Zumba with Elmo is from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
Why Go: Participate in the most amazing Zumba class ever with eight instructors and three hours of fun. The event also features a live DJ, bongos, vendors, dance, a balloon artist, cotton candy, burgers and hot dogs. Bring your bathing suit along to splash around in the outdoor pool.  This charity drive is sponsored by  and Club La Maison and all proceeds benefit schools in Uganda.

Where/When:  from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Why Go: Mix and mingle with sexy singles. Spark new romances or make new friends. Enjoy tempting cocktails and sumptuous fare. MUD RUN MS

Where/When: 3855 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, from 8 to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Non-competitive teams run on Saturday while the trophy division competes on Sunday.
Why Go: Cheer as teams of contestants slip, slide and slosh their way to victory in this 10K (approximately 6.3 miles) race with boot camp-style obstacles that have been surrounded by or consist entirely of mud. Ages 16 and older can still  register for the run. For spectators, the Start/Finish Festival Area features live bands, theater acts and more.  Or hop on a shuttle to Spectator’s Corral, a lookout spot along the route, with access to two of the première obstacles. Located on the future site of the Delaware County Veterans Memorial, this festive military-themed vendor village will feature a Kid’s Muddy Fun Run at 2 p.m. each day, a flag salute from the Color Guard at noon on Saturday and music and entertainment by WYSP.
Pricing: Free for spectators, donations to National MS Society accepted


Where/When: Media's State Street from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday.
Why Go: Experience a full round of The Blues as performed by 24 talented artists at 19 venues. Radio station WXPN's Jonny Meister will MC and headlining will be jazz and blues vocalist Catherine Russell, winner of Village Voice's 2008 Best Vocal Album of the Year. See the full line-up of performances, and make your reservation now for those with dinner seating only. Parking is free and the event happens rain or shine.

DELAWARE COUNTY FAIR

Where/When: Granite Run Mall from 4 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday, noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Why Go: Enjoy carnival rides, face-painting, food, games and entertainment, including magicians, Scooby Do, Sully, Bob the Builder and Dora. Plus, Friday features the Eagles Pep-Rally Band.

FESTIVAL OF FAIRIES & FRIENDS

Where/When:  from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Why Go: Don your favorite magical costume and join the parade. Dance in magical bubbles, snap a photo with the fairy queen and princesses and enjoy crafts, games and face painting. Plus, favorite children's author Tracey Kane will be on hand to read from her Fairy House book series, autograph copies and help young architects create authentic fairy houses.
