The store is going to be open through this weekend, said Kevin O’Grady, manager.

Some fixtures are for sale from the store, including refrigerators, freezers and furniture. The candy and toys that reamin are for sale at a discount.

Gumdrops and Sprinkles have been in Wayne for about three-and-a-half years. O'Grady said they are planning on moving to another location but do not know where that is yet.

"Wayne has been a good place for us. We've met some really great people here," he said. "Unfortunately this is part of business."

What a shame. Blue Horse just closed and another gift/stationery shop a couple of storefronts farther east has just posted that it is shutting down, too.

I do take my step children there all the time. What a shame!

The owners have generously supported Radnor Township elementary students by hosting dozens of kids for our class trips to meet and interview local businesses. I wish them the best of luck. Jamie Forman

Truly a loss...none of the newer ice cream stores that have opened have the ambiance of Gumdrops and Sprinkles! Best of Luck!!

We are so sorry to hear of this! They had a great selection, a wonderful toppings policy, and pleasant employees.
