Moms Eat Local: The Silverspoon

Find out how kid-friendly The Silverspoon in Wayne is.

Moms know how tough it can be to eat out with little ones. Patch wants to help you know before you walk in the door if The Silverspoon is a good place to eat with your children.

Restaurant: The Silverspoon—503 West Lancaster Ave. 610-688-7646

Is there a kids’ menu? Not officially but they do have limited options including a grilled cheese sandwich and macaroni and cheese.

Are there healthy options on the kids’ meal? The grilled cheese is probably the healthiest. If all else fails, the macaroni and cheese is pretty kid-safe and the caramelized pepper bacon is like candy for kids (and adults).

How does the restaurant deal with food allergies? Alert your server, and they are quite accommodating.

Is the restaurant so quiet that any childish outburst will draw attention or is there enough noise that a small cry is likely to go unnoticed? Depends on how filled the dining room is. When I went in, there were very few people so you could hear everything. If the dining room were filled I'm sure that a small cry would go unnoticed.
