'P' Is For Peppercorn?

Georges' restaurant in Wayne closed quickly this month, but the plan is for a new eatery to open there soon.

Throughout its 12-year presence in the Eagle Village Shops in Wayne, Georges' changed its name and brand, and the restaurant will do so once again.

George Perrier, the previous owner of both Georges' and Philadelphia's Le Bec-Fin, was no longer owner of the Wayne location sometime between March and February, according to general manager Aaron Kavulich. But the restaurant stayed open until this month. Georges' closed its doors right before the Independence Day holiday.

Philly.com reports that a "modern-upscale spot called Peppercorn" will focus on "elevated regional American cuisine, high-level service, in an approachable elegant atmosphere."
