Paramour Shares Its Derby Winnings

The Wayne Senior Center benefitted from a recent Kentucky Derby party.

Paramour, the Wayne restaurant, presented the Wayne Senior Center with a check for $6,996 on Monday. The donation was from proceeds from ticket sales from Paramour's Kentucky Derby party.

This year was the second year that the restaurant threw the party, complete with Derby-inspired hors d’oeuvres, mint juleps and traditional hats. It was the first year that the event benefitted the nearby senior center.

The decision to donate proceeds to the senior center was made by Wayne Hotel and Paramour owner Steve Bajus. Susan Shapiro, executive director of the Wayne Senior Center, said they were "humbed and honored" to be the beneficiary of the event.
