PBandU Closes in Wayne

The store closed Dec. 23.

PBandU, the shop that sold peanut-butter creations at 163 E. Lancaster Ave. in Wayne, closed on Dec. 23, according to its Facebook page.

A location remains in the Moorestown, N.J. Mall.

Read the "Meet the Owner" that Patch ran on owner Mercury Amodio.

The shop opened in Wayne in 2010.

What do you think would be a good business to replace PBandU at this location? Tell us by commenting below.

Cute concept with a nice, well-intentioned owner but it just seemed weird to create a business where a certain percentage of the age you've target marketed could never eat your food -- or even step in the door -- without risking anaphylactic shock (at least the parents feared they would). If just one child had a peanut allergy, that knocked out the whole family or playgroup as a customer. And, these allergies are on the rise for some reason.

Shocking that this place lasted as long as it did. And for Wayne businesses likely to close during 2013....Bang and Olufsen....other guesses?

You're mot going to get anything with a "cute and nice" concept because Radnor makes it so damn hard to establish a local stores here. We'll be lucky if we get another coffee shop that lasts 3 months. Big changes coming in 2013.

What sad news! My family happens to love PB&J creations, and we're sad to see such a sudden departure. In fact, I still have a punch card and wish I'd known they were closing, as I would have stopped by one last time!

Good afternoon,
My name is Derek Yates i am a cadet at Valley Forge Military college. Recently in my analytical writing and research class our professor had assigned a project for us to write a buisness plan. I was interested on the price of the lease/ rent of this building for a business. If I could get further information like the size of the building it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you proving that Democrats love to defend higher taxes (vs the resultant lower taxes from theRead More lower budget offered by others). Enough said.

Glad the Dems are realistically planning for the future. It's also encouraging to know that all ofRead More the candidates actually have children in the public schools. Can't say the same about the Republican ticket which sure says something....

Gee Catherine perhaps you could explain & list the "realistic" plans in the Dem budgetRead More that were excluded from the Repub budget. Would also be interested to know why having children in Radnor Schools is a good thing....I'd rather have representatives who have pertinent experience and perhaps have grown children who have already been through Radnor....do senior executives or Board members of corporations have children in their company's? What is the benefit to the school children or the Township?
