'Bikes Not Bombs' Veterans Coming to Radnor

The group promotes bicycle technology as a concrete alternative to war and environmental destruction.

The group Main Line Peace Action will host the Bikes Not Bombs touring group of Afghanistan veterans and musicians on Saturday, September 17, at two local events.

The bikers started traveling from the World Trade Center on the tenth anniversary of 9/11 to arrive in Washington, DC on the tenth anniversary of the start of the Afghanistan War, October 7.

The bikers’ goal for this tour is to raise awareness and solicit donations of one bicycle per mile (250 miles) for U.S. veterans returning from Afghanistan. Bikes Not Bombs promotes bicycle technology as a concrete alternative to war and environmental destruction.
