Fayette Street, Conshohocken

Summary: While older residents might remember Conshohocken as a working-class industrial town, the borough has reinvented itself in the last 20 years as an up-and-coming restaurant destination. Diners and drinkers of all stripes can find something on Fayette Street, from sports bars like the and to more intimate dining at the and. Fayette Street also boasts a number of places to get breakfast or a cup of coffee (,,) as well as a number of places for quick eats, Like, and. A collection of restaurants and bars located just a block off the road in either direction make Fayette Street a good spot for a night out.

Main Line Billiards Club

Summary: Whether you’re an expert player, casual player or just looking for a fun night out, Main Line Billiards Club is a great place to enjoy the game of pool. Main Line Billiards Club has a spacious 11-table interior and bills itself as “your friendly neighborhood pool hall.”  The business, which is BYOB, also has snacks and soda machines, an electronic dartboard, touch-screen video games and weekly league events.  There's also a jukebox, snooker table and plenty of televisions.

Act II Playhouse

Summary: Act II Playhouse is a small, 130-seat playhouse in downtown Ambler that produces new, classic, and contemporary plays and musicals. Four main stage and two special events are staged at Act II each season. New play development includes the staging of a world or regional premiere each season.
The Mystery of Irma Vep is the current show at Act II Playhouse, running from Oct. 25 to Nov. 20.

Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival

Where: Country Junction, 6565 Interchange Road, Lehighton, PA
How Far From Radnor Patch: 70 miles or 1 hour 30 minutes
Cost:

  • Free parking
  • Weekends - Unlimited rides on the midway for $8
  • Admission to Ghost Town USA (includes haunted house) is $6 for ages 2 and older
  • Pumpkins cost $3 each

  • Weekdays noon to 5 p.m.
  • Weekends 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. through October 31


Summary: Country Junction bills itself as the "world's largest general store." Its Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival features daytime hayrides, games, corn maze, hay maze, petting zoo, pony rides and other fun activities for kids and families.
