1.) A (mini) crisis was averted last night when the Delaware County Council and the Delaware County SPCA animal control services for six months. Though the attorney general still has to review the agreement to officialize it, a temporary agreement will continue service for five days past today's deadline, giving the office time to perform its review with no service interruption.

2.) On Tuesday, Safeguard Scientifics, a Wayne-based technology investor, received the first $145 million of its $750 million deal to sell company Advanced Biohealing to an Irish drug firm. It's reported that Safeguard made 13 times their original investment back.

3.) Yesterday, Richard Cairns--an associate of Delaware County Democrat Bryan Lentz--was charged with petition forgery relating to the candidacy of Radnor Republican Jim Schneller.

Cairns had attempted to get Schneller, a Republican with controversial views, on the ballot to siphon votes away from Pat Meehan and benefit Lentz.
