1.   It’s the second day of the 2011 Devon Horse Show and Country Fair. At last year’s event there was a paid attendance of 101,374 people. Also last year $370,000 from the show and fair was donated to Bryn Mawr Hospital.

2.   Radnor Police Officers are distributing yellow-colored Safety and Awareness Cards on windshields of cars throughout the township. According to police, the cards are designed to promote greater awareness for personal safety and car security and list tips and suggestions. 3.   Last night at the High School of the Future in Philadelphia, Radnor High School’s Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher (MAR) club donated fifty Apple iBook laptops, two LCD projectors and one desktop computer to Summer Search Philadelphia, an organization that recruits resilient, low-income students from Philadelphia public high schools for their leadership program. Radnor Patch was there last night and will have an article on the program.

4.   The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that all driver license and photo centers will be closed on Saturday, May 28, and Monday, May 30, in observance of Memorial Day.

5.   The Friends of the Radnor Memorial Library will hold its semi-annual book sale on June 4 and 5 at the library. The hours of the sale are: Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. All items are half-price on Sunday.
