1. Radnor’s Historic and Architectural Review Board approved by a vote of 3 to 0 an appeal from a developer to demolish an existing garage and build 24-car underground garage with trash room, ramp, and steps attached to the Louella Mansion in Wayne. Developer Cas Holloway is hoping to turn the mansion, which now houses apartments, into a dozen condos.

2. Patch’s local editors will be volunteering at the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair tonight. Come by and visit us.

3. In 1919 the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair was incorporated, and Bryn Mawr Hospital became the annual event’s beneficiary.  Between then and last year, almost $14 million has been donated to the hospital, according to the organization.

4. The Friends of the Radnor Memorial Library will hold its semi-annual book sale this weekend. The sale is open to the public on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. All items are half-price on Sunday.

5. On Sunday the Radnor Conservancy is hosting the inaugural Race for Open Space, a trail race through the Willows and Skunk Hollow Parks in Radnor Township. On-site registration opens at 8 a.m. and the race starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Willows, 490 Darby Paoli Road. The organization requests no dogs or jogging strollers on the trail.
