1.   The Wayne Art Center’s Plein Air Festival and Exhibition is concluding this weekend but some of the paintings will remain up throughout the summer. The Wayne Art Center’s Fifth Annual Plein Air Festival began May 16 when 31 artists from around the country arrived and enjoyed an introduction and dinner at the farm of committee chair Barbara Berry. Canvases were officially stamped and their painting gear was ready to begin the challenge of executing a brand new body of work in just four-and-a-half days. They painted the rolling hills and town landscapes in and around Wayne during the first rainy three days. And on Friday they ventured into Philadelphia to capture Old City and other notable downtown scenes.

2. The Radnor High School Scholarship Fund awarded 17 scholarships this year. RHSSF has an annual scholarship budget of about $100,000. This year, awards ranged from $1,000 to $1,500 per year for four years.

3. On Monday night Radnor Township’s Board of Commissioners approved a lease with for its Memorial Field. It also voted on a contentious matter about the possible redevelopment of the Louella Mansion, one of the town’s most notable buildings. Read a run down here.

4. The 2011 Radnor Summer Concert Series kicks off at tomorrow, Wednesday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m. Rave On will perform a tribute to Buddy Holly. (Rain date for this event will be Thursday, June 23.)
