1. Business and student volunteers will be busy on Saturday morning as they clean up Wayne. The Wayne Business Association has declared Saturday as “Wayne Clean-Up Day” in anticipation of following weekend’s Memorial Day Parade. A crew of volunteers will be making a clean sweep of the parade route on Lancaster Avenue starting at 8:30 Saturday morning.

2. On Friday, the students and staff of Radnor High School will host an educational event with Tina Meier, a nationally acclaimed cybersafety speaker whose daughter, Megan, took her own life at 13 because of two cyberbullies. She will also be hosting a “parent summit” Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

3. The Radnor Township Police Department will be the first department in Delaware County to begin using "SafetyNet" provided by LOJACK.  SafetyNet is an electronic search and rescue program used to protect people with cognitive conditions such as Autism and Alzheimer's. Additional information will be announced at the May 23 Radnor Board of Commissioner's meeting.

5. Wayne Art Center’s annual Plein Air festival is taking place this week, which might explain the painters you see in the meadows and on the sidewalks of town. Information on the festival can be found here.
