1.   Radnor Township’s Citizen Audit Review and Financial Advisory Committee will hold a meeting tonight at 7 p.m. on the second floor of . The meeting is open to the public. The new group will select a chairperson and a secretary and will be discussing how it will proceed.

The committee’s purpose, among other things, is to review the township’s annual unaudited financial reports and make sure that audit recommendations are appropriately addressed.

2.   Last Friday, an Air Force officer who was shot down in 1970 during a covert operation in Laos was buried with full military honors at Arlington Cemetery one year after his body was found. His next of kin lives in Radnor and was presented with an American flag at the service. Check back with Patch later this week for the story.

3.   Spurred by the United States Department of Agriculture’s updated food graphic and dietary guidelines, local professional organizer Darla DeMorrow offers some tips on organizing your pantry on her blog.

4.   The Delaware County Library System offers a downloadable ebook service that allows library cardholders to borrow and read books on their computer or transfer them to select ebook readers such as the Barnes and Noble nook. Audiobooks can be downloaded and played on an iPod, iPhone or MP3 players. Library patrons can download ebooks from the DCLS website by clicking on the “Download Audiobooks & Ebooks” tab at the top of the home page. (Books can also be purchased on the site and a portion of the sale will go to the library system to buy more ebooks.)

5.   Tonight Radnor Township’s free Summer Concert Series will present Ellie Perez & the Black Ties, an indie rock band, at the Willows from 7 to 9 p.m. See the schedule of the concert series in the pdf section of this article.
