Flemish House on Chestnut Lane
This house is the only one of the eight to be built in "reverse."
Today we continue our series of highlights from the George W. Schultz photo album. Schultz documented many scenes of early Wayne and St. Davids.
This house, located at 413 Chestnut Lane, is one of eight houses of the "Flemish House" design built in North Wayne. It was built as a mirror image of the house In fact, this house is the only one of the eight to be built in "reverse." It is shown here in the 1890s, shortly after its completion and when the first North Wayne families were making the neighborhood their home.
