Flood Watch Through Wednesday Morning

Two to four inches of rain is possible.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for our region through Wednesday morning.

According to , meteorologists forecast tropical rains for the area through Wednesday. The township is in a flood watch, with predictions of 2 to 4 inches of rain falling through Wednesday.

The township recommends checking that your sump pumps and battery backups are in good working order and be aware if you reside in areas that are low lying or in flood plains. Never drive through flooded roadways and take all necessary precautions.

Tuesday Night: Periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 61. East wind between 8 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Wednesday: Rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Cloudy, with a high near 77. Southeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: Rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Cloudy, with a low around 65. Southeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
