Video: Rescuers Arriving to Help Drowning Boy

The fast-moving rain storm also bought flooding to roadways.

A 12-year-old boy remains in critical condition at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia after he was pulled into an underground culvert from a rushing creek in South Wayne on Monday.

According to Radnor Township Police superintendent William A. Colarulo, the boy and two friends were attempting to use swimming pool rafts in the creek in the 300 block of Saint David’s Road.

Creeks wind throughout the South Wayne neighborhood, in some areas turning into underground culverts. The boy was rescued about a block away from where he disappeared from friends.
