NWS Issues Excessive Heat Watch Wednesday and Thursday

Temperatures to swell into the mid-90s, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service is warning the tri-state area of an excessive heat watch Wednesday through Thursday evening.

Much of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Northern Delaware and West Central New Jersey could be at risk for a very hot a humid air mass that will cause temperatures to swell into the mid-90s, according to the service.

Heat index values are predicted to be between 95 and 100 on Wednesday and around 100 on Thursday.

Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 88 degrees and a west wind between 7 and 10 mph. Tonight should be partly cloudy, with a low around 68 degrees with a west wind between 3 and 7 mph, according to the service.
