Police Blotter: Theft and Burglary

Burglary

On May 27 a laptop computer was stolen from a business office in a building in the 700 block of East Lancaster Avenue in Villanova between the hours of 1 and 5 p.m. A credit card of the employee was also taken.

A resident of West Wayne Avenue reported that an iPod, video camera, video games and game controllers were stolen while the house was empty on May 30. The victim also told police that over the previous several weeks she was unable to find her laptop computer.

Theft

Owners of a house in the 200 block of Hothorpe Lane in Villanova reported June 5 that someone removed several pieces of copper downspouts from the property sometime in the previous 24 hours. (From last week’s police blotter, nine copper downspouts were stolen from a home under construction on nearby Parkes Run Lane in Villanova it was reported on May 23. The downspouts taken were from the rear and sides of the home.)

A business owner in the 800 block of East Lancaster Avenue in Villanova reported June 2 that he was airing out two rugs in front of the building (because of a “high concentration of cat urine,” according to the police report) between 11:15 and 11:30 a.m. when one of the rugs was taken.

Criminal mischief

The owner of a business in the 100 block of North Aberdeen Avenue in Wayne reported May 31 that someone broke a glass window on the building.
