In a storm preparation meeting on Monday, Leo Benabei, director of operations for the Radnor Township School District, announced that the district’s five schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
All of the colleges in Radnor Township will also be closed.
School district buses will be in place and ready to move groups of people in the township if it is necessary.
During Hurricane Irene, Radnor High School became a shelter for local evacuations. Sgt. George Smith, who is managing Radnor’s Emergency Management, said it is not known yet whether the township will need that service again. The decision will be made Monday morning.
