Wayne United Methodist Church

On the corner of South Wayne and Runnymede Avenues stood this stone church, the Wayne Methodist Episcopal Church.

Today we continue our series of highlights from the George W. Schultz photo album. Schultz documented many scenes of early Wayne and St. Davids.

On the corner of South Wayne and Runnymede Avenues stood this stone church, the Wayne Methodist Episcopal Church. It was one of many churches in the town, helping to provide residents with a wide range of religious options. In the mid-20th century, this church was demolished in favor of a larger building; the Wayne United Methodist Church still occupies the site today.
