Why are you running for office?

Under the Home Rule charter of Radnor Township, adopted in 1976, the Treasurer is the only government official who reports directly to all taxpayers and residents.  The Treasurer works independently to ensure proper collection of revenue and use of Township money. During my nine years in office, I uncovered the wrongful personal enrichment of the former Township manager, laid the groundwork for an entire change in Township administration and took legal action to recover over a million dollars of Township money.  I am running for re-election to continue my hard work and efforts on behalf of all people in our community.

What do you think are the biggest issues you would face in office:

My work as Treasurer caused a complete review of the Home Rule Charter, which is the plan of government selected by Radnor voters.  As a result, in Spring 2013 Radnor voters strongly supported amending the Charter to strengthen the authority and expand the responsibilities of the Treasurer.  I look forward to establishing practices and procedures to carry out the Charter changes.  Sound financial oversight is the keystone of government accountability.  I believe that I am best suited to carry out the wishes of the voters.

If elected, what do you hope to do?

Radnor Township is a vital, thriving community with services and amenities for all residents and visitors.  If elected, I promise to serve our community with fidelity and transparency, promoting confidence in the integrity of our government.
