Guests will enjoy activities such as: games, face painting, button making; silent auction and raffles. There will also be a showcase of over 60 Irish dancers from the McDade School of Irish Dance and an ice cream eating, dance , “Pie in the Face,” and waffle throwing contests. In addition, supporters will enjoy a special appearances by CHIO of Wired 96.5 Morning Show and Freckles the Clown.
Miriam’s Kids Research Foundation was started by Miriam’s parents, Helena and Bill, after Miriam succumbed to brain cancer at the age of five. The Dance-A-Thon continues to help many children and families who suffer from brain tumors. This year, the Dance-A-Thon is expecting to raise $50,000 to help the many children battling brain cancer. All contributions are tax deductible and benefit brain cancer research at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
