FREE Unemployment and Underemployment Assistance

A free employment assistance support and networking group for the unemployed and underemployed has expanded its schedule and and broadened its scope from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Mondays in Room 104/106 at Calvary Fellowship Church of Downingtown, 95 West Devon Drive at Route 113, Lionville/Exton.

Segments of the 12 Steps Toward EmploymentTM workshop curriculum, that includes dozens of oftentimes unknown free assists for job-seekers, will be presented on an ongoing basis, supplemented by speakers and individual support for resume writing, interview skills, job search assistance and more.  Meetings are hosted by the church's Barnabas Group, the name being derived from the Christian disciple known as the Son of Encouragement.


Meetings are open to all job-seekers, family members, and organization representatives and other individuals seeking to assist the unemployed and underemployed.  Job-seeking efforts are enhanced by a unified family and friends approach.

Individuals are encouraged to support those seeking employment by forwarding information on the meeting and accompanying flier to family members or friends who may need assistance, and downloading and posting copies of the flier to public and organization bulletin boards.

Glad the Dems are realistically planning for the future. It's also encouraging to know that all ofRead More the candidates actually have children in the public schools. Can't say the same about the Republican ticket which sure says something....
