On Monday, November 12th, the Deacons’ Career Networking Program will present a special program on LinkedIn, a business-oriented social networking site used mainly for professional networking. It is widely used by those in “career transition” as well as currently employed business professionals looking to advance their careers. The purpose of the site is to allow registered users to gain referrals and introductions to others through the network of people they know and trust in business.

The speaker will be Oliver Picher, a well known “corporate storyteller” who helps clients use social media, public relations and blogs to connect with potential customers. This interactive session is open to all members of the congregation and the community at large and is appropriate for anyone interested in learning more about LinkedIn.
