Community Corner

Storytelling with Traveling Chef Michele Haines

Each year the Wayne Art
Center offers a series of creative and fun performances, artist demonstrations
and art workshops as a special treat to our campers, their families, and our
community.  On Tuesday, August 5th & Tuesday, August 15th
from 11:30-12:15PM
join us as we welcome special guest Michele Haines of
Spring Mill Café.  A native of the
Touraine region of France, Michele was born in 1942 on the border of the Nazi
Occupation and the Vichy Regime.  She has
been a world traveler since the age of 19, and has a life-time of stories to
tell of her time as a foreign language teacher, civil rights activist who
marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and Chef.  Her restaurant, the Spring Mill Café opened
in 1978.  She will be joining us
immediately following a month long culinary tour of Russia, so she will have
plenty of stories to share – both new & old!  Suitable
for ages 6 & up with adult
Please RSVP to Carolyn@wayneart.org by Friday, August 1st
& Friday, August 15th.
